Working Creatively with Image

If working with images is something of interest, it may be helpful to use an image to explore an issue you are working through in a different way.

There are no expectations of being an artist. Sometimes it is difficult to express feelings with words. Image work can be a non-verbal approach to understanding the self, our thoughts and feelings that
may be affecting our behaviours.

Some awareness and insight that can arise from working with creative and therapeutic expression can be:

  • Self-care
  • Self-empowerment
  • Embracing change
  • Understanding relationship dynamics
  • Finding an Inner strength and understanding of yourself

Creative Therapeutic Workshops

I also offer working creatively and therapeutically in small groups.

Each workshop is based on a theme, which acts as a guide to enable you to explore something of interest to you.
Workshop themes can include:

  • The Inner Critic
  • Self-Sabotage
  • Body Image
  • Embracing Change
  • Loss
  • Understanding Relationships
  • Impostor Syndrome
  • Working with your Inner Child

The process, not the end product is important…

Express yourself…
Enjoy the creative process…
See what emerges..

What to Expect.

These workshops are made up of small groups, and take place in an open space, enabling a comfortable and creative environment.

Following guided visualisations, specific to the theme of the workshop, you will be invited to put down on paper any image that came up for you in whatever way or form that is comfortable for you.

All art materials will be supplied for you to be as creative as you wish to be. This process of creating your image, using paint, crayons, glitter, pencils, pastels – whatever you feel drawn to – is a therapeutic and mindful way to express yourself.

Physical & Mental Health.

During the workshop you will be invited to engage in sitting, meditation and creative work with art materials.

The work may enable emotional engagement and healing.
You will never be asked to do or share anything that you are not comfortable with.

All participation is voluntary.

If you have any conditions you feel I should know about, or you have any concerns or questions about your participation, please let me know.
